This course will offer continuing education to medical office staff members. Starting with patient admitting, students will learn the medical billing cycle all of the way to zero balance accounts.

Classes meet once per week Tuesdays 5:30 pm -7:30 pm MST (Arizona) for 2 hours over 6 weeks.

A certificate of completion is awarded to students who score 85% average on all exams. Additional certification is available. Students are encouraged to take the American Academy of Professional Coders "Certified Professional Biller examination. You would need to join the organization to be able to take the examination.

The CPB Exam is a rigorous, 135 multiple choice exam. Students are given 4 hours to finish the exam with approved code books. There is a fee paid to the AAPC to take the examination approximately $460.00.

The course is 100% online, students attend Zoom classes with the instructor and have assignments and homework that is done independent and submitted to the instructor. Average grade of 70% or better is require to attain course completion certificate.
